Netherlands Stronger Now Than When They Faced France Says Koeman

Netherlands stronger now than when they faced France, says Koeman

Dutch unbeaten in last 13 meetings with Poland

Oranje lack an orthodox striker but Memphis Depay is closing in on Robin van Persie's record of 50 goals

Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman believes his team are stronger now than when they faced France in the Euro qualifiers.

The Dutch are unbeaten in their last 13 meetings with Poland in all competitions, and will be confident of extending that run when the two sides meet in the Nations League on Sunday.

Koeman has named a strong squad for the match, with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Memphis Depay and Frenkie de Jong all included.

"We are a stronger team now than we were when we played France," said Koeman.

"We have more experience, and we have some new players who have come into the team and made a big impact.

"We are confident that we can beat Poland and qualify for the Nations League finals."

Poland will be without their star striker Robert Lewandowski for the match, but Koeman is still expecting a tough game.

"Poland are a good team, and they have some dangerous players," said Koeman.

"We will need to be at our best to beat them."
